Terms of Use
These terms describe your rights and responsibilities when using Picklume, provided by Molly Lu (“we”, “us”). Please read them before use, together with our Privacy Policy.
1 Scope and software license
These terms cover the current iPhone app and its support pages. The app is distributed through the Apple App Store. The Apple Standard End User License Agreement and applicable store usage rules govern your software license; these terms provide additional information about Picklume's services and use. We provide and maintain the app.
Use the app only if you have the legal capacity to accept these terms. If you are below the age at which you can enter an agreement in your location, a parent or guardian should review them and supervise your use. Nothing here removes mandatory rights under applicable law.
2 Features and random results
Picklume supports everyday choices and casual activities through weighted wheels, coin flips, random numbers, finger draws, offline templates, and local plan and history management. Available features depend on your installed version.
Wheel results depend on options and weights; coin flips choose between two sides; random numbers depend on the range, count, and duplicate settings; finger draws depend on participating touches and the winner count. Random results can repeat, and a small sample need not match expected proportions. Animations illustrate a draw and do not promise any prize or financial outcome.
You decide whether a result is suitable for your situation. The app does not provide medical, legal, investment, or safety advice, or certified gambling, lottery, independently audited draw, or cryptographic security services. Decisions affecting safety, substantial property, or other people's rights require appropriate professional judgment and procedures.
3 Your content
You retain your legal rights in the questions, options, and other content you enter and must have the right to use that content. Saving it locally does not transfer ownership or grant us a license to publish it, use it for marketing, or train models on it.
The current app has no public wheel community or content upload feature. Avoid entering unnecessary personal or sensitive information. Before copying, pasting, or showing content to others, make sure you are entitled to disclose it.
4 Acceptable use and intellectual property
Use the app lawfully. Do not use it for illegal gambling, fraud, privacy violations, infringement, or activities that endanger others, or deliberately damage the app or bypass lawful security restrictions.
The app's code, interface, icons, and original bundled materials belong to their respective rights holders. Your license does not transfer those rights. Restrictions on copying, distribution, or reverse engineering follow the Apple software license, applicable law, and relevant open source licenses; this section adds no restriction on legally permitted conduct.
5 Charges and store services
The current version has no in-app purchases, subscriptions, automatic renewals, or restore-purchase feature. Any app download price is the price displayed in your local App Store at that time. Your service provider may charge for downloading the app, visiting websites, or using third-party services.
If paid features are introduced later, their features, prices, and terms will be shown before activation, with your affirmative confirmation through the applicable Apple purchase process. These terms do not authorize any charge.
6 Local data and backups
Plans, number settings, recent history, and preferences are stored on your device. We currently provide no account, cloud sync, or cross-device recovery service. History keeps up to the latest 200 entries. Deleting a wheel does not erase saved history snapshots, and clearing history does not delete saved wheels.
System or storage failures, app deletion, and device loss can cause data loss. Whether device or computer backups include app data depends on your system and backup settings. We cannot access or restore those backups for you. Keep important content appropriately backed up.
7 Apple and other third-party services
System ratings, sharing, the App Store, browsers, and email services you choose are operated by their respective providers under their own terms and privacy policies. Sending support email, rating the app, and sharing it are optional for core draws.
We remain responsible for the app as required by applicable law. Third-party services may change under their own conditions; we will address related issues within our reasonable control.
8 Updates and ending use
You may stop using and delete the app at any time. We may update the app and these terms to fix issues, support system changes, or adjust features. Material changes will be explained on the updated terms page and, where applicable, through in-app information or release notes. Where consent is legally required, it will be obtained before the relevant processing begins.
Changes do not retroactively authorize previously unauthorized processing of personal information or remove accrued statutory rights. We do not promise indefinite support for every system version and will provide information about the discontinuation of important services where reasonably practicable.
9 Responsibility and disputes
We will maintain the app with reasonable care, but cannot promise error-free operation or that every random result will meet your preferences. Liability and available remedies are determined by applicable law and valid software license terms. Nothing here excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited, including applicable liability for personal injury, fraud, intentional misconduct or gross negligence, or mandatory consumer rights.
Please contact us first if you encounter a problem. Applicable law and competent dispute resolution bodies are determined by relevant legal rules. Consumer remedies available to you in your habitual place of residence remain unaffected. If a provision is invalid, the remaining legally valid provisions continue to apply.
